The Vanity subtab in the Appearance category focuses on the flashy side of the 7TV experience — things that don’t affect functionality but enhance the visual identity and aesthetics of your presence in chat. It’s ideal for customizing how you appear to others and how others appear to you.
Nametag Paints
Enables or disables paint effects on name tags, typically used to give usernames bold, colorful outlines or gradients. It’s one of the most eye-catching features of 7TV.
7TV Badges
Controls whether 7TV-specific badges appear next to users who have them. These may represent supporter tiers, staff, or feature-related roles.
Drop Shadows on Paints
Adds a drop shadow effect to nametag paints for better contrast and visibility.
This setting requires a page refresh to take effect.
Animated Avatars
Allows animated user profile pictures to play when available. Disabling this may reduce motion in chat for a cleaner or more focused experience.
